Day 13 was spent celebrating July 4th, and I stayed on track with my goals! It seems like every month of the year presents an occasion to indulge, starting with New Years and ending with Christmas. I have to remind myself there’s no such thing as a “holiday” from healthy living. Even if I treat myself once in a while, I can make wise choices in the midst of the treat.

Let’s get to today’s stats…

Breakfast: Meal replacement shake* with banana

Lunch: Leftover breakfast casserole + carrots and an orange

Supper: We ate with friends, and I had a hamburger topped with a tomato slice (no bun) + salad with avocado, tomato, and beans + berries and grapes. I found that I didn’t really miss the bun on my burger, and the salad and fruit tasted good to me, so they were a treat in and of themselves!

Snacks: Apple slices; Grape tomatoes; Unsalted peanuts with raisins

Tea of Choice: Rooibos

Exercise: Hiking with my family

Energy Level: Pretty good! It was a jam-packed day enjoying the outdoors with my family, so I expect to sleep good tonight. 🙂

That’s it for Day 13! See you back here tomorrow…
